Fuyan Zen Monastery, a well-known old monastery with serene trees, grandiose buildings and sublime statues, enjoys a history of a thousand years. It occupies 9 acres, and comprises the Hall of Heavenly King, the Precious Hall of Sakyamuni, the Perfect Penetration Hall,the Western Paradise Hall, the Reclining Buddha Hall, the Six Harmonies Buddha Hall, the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower. There used to be such precious relics as the Stone of “Crease Cloud Peak”, the Bell Embedded with Bluestone, the Yin-Yang Mirror, the Jade Buddha, the Horse-Skin Drum. It was reconstructed in 1983 and open to tourists in July, 1990.
